Oh hey! After many years of many people telling me I should do this, I’ve finally mustered enough gaul to start a style blog! I hope you have as much fun sifting through my wardrobe choices as I have making them. You can find a more detailed description about where I’m coming from in my “Mathé Kamsutchom” tab above. Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions! I’m all ears!
The name ‘idiosyncracie’ came from a couple different directions. I do believe theirs always a quirk and a statement in my outfit, something that makes it…me. Everyone has that really. Figuring out your quirk helps cultivate style. I always have a knack for aspirational details, mixed patterns, stand out jewelry, etc. While classic, I enjoy the unexpected oddity. While experimenting with creative writing last year, my boyfriend Jordan gave me a little bit of advice about story-telling that stuck with me. He said stories are about idiosyncratic details. The more you have, the more real the story and your characters seem. He’s right! Those peculiar details make stories real because, in real life everyone is…actually peculiar. This is my space to embrace my peculiarity. The ‘cie’ ending was an assurance the name wouldn’t be taken. The skirt below was thrifted during a last minute consignment spree on a weekend trip to Denver. It’s a favorite!
